
Broadcast in partnership with Little Dot Studios on 12 November, Sara will present 14 awards to the best in factual
In a departure for 2020, The British Documentary Awards ceremony is going digital for the first time and will bring the documentary community together virtually to celebrate their achievements. Award-winning comedian and writer, Sara Pascoe will be presenting from the studio and the ceremony will be broadcast on YouTube in conjunction with digital partners Little Dot Studios.
Awards’ host, Sara, is the writer, star and executive producer of the BBC series, Out of Her Mind, and host of Guessable for Comedy Central and Comedians Giving Lectures on Dave. Her solo BBC stand-up special LadsLadsLads was filmed at the London Palladium, following a sell-out nationwide tour and West End run. Sara co-hosted the BBC Two travelogue Travelling Blind and will present the upcoming travel series Last Woman on Earth - again for the BBC. Sara is also the author of the critically acclaimed book Animal and the Sunday Times Best Seller Sex Power Money (both for Faber) as well as creating the companion podcast for Sex Power Money.
During the event, Sara will present 14 awards for documentaries judged by the voting juries to have made a significant contribution to the genre and that demonstrate quality, integrity, creativity, originality and overall excellence.
Now in their 48th year, the Griersons celebrate the best in documentary filmmaking carrying prestige and allure for factual filmmakers from across the globe.
