Documentary in Schools

We have worked with a number of organisations to bring documentaries to school age children including Open City Docs and Career Academies .

BRITDOC Foundation has developed a new educational platform that brings documentary film into the formal learning of core subjects:

Doc Academy is:

  1. An online platform devised by teachers
  2. Short clips of documentary feature films, embedded into full schemes of work for English
  3. Tied to English National Curriculum Objectives for KS3, GCSE & A Level
  4. Easy to use, with no specialist teacher training required

Doc Academy aims to encourage the use of documentary film within formal learning in UK schools. We believe that easy, free access to high quality documentaries offer a deeper understanding of wider social issues, develops media literacy and teaches key skills.
